I think you may have misunderstood my motive for posting this. It’s a memorial to the Solidarity movement - a social force able to control those in power. The reference to the date I posted it was to highlight that such a force for good, like so many was banned, thus making the struggle deeper and harder. Freedom is a theme that I hope runs through all the posts I make, or at least the hope or wish for it.
+‘A social force, able to control those in power’, 2011, Gdańsk. Source. Today is the anniversary of the day in 1982, that the government banned the Solidarity Movement in Poland.
;A;
Solidamość. Poles lost their lives fighting for this when the communists declared martial law.
My trust manager and his family were able to escape before being arrested. My babcia sponsored them, and that’s how they became good friends to us.
This is why I don’t worship the Soviets like my fellow anarcho-communist bloggers do. =\
Although, uh, today isn’t the anniversary of when Solidarity was made illegal. .
EDIT: oh nevermind; this is an old post.
Hey, thanks for coming to my Tumblr! I’m not actively blogging here, because I set up:
To blog about my interest in Art, Design, Photography and Politics. Hope you enjoy.
